  • Went back to the orthopedist today.  They took new x-rays and said that the arm was healing well.  They were impressed that I was able to straighten my arm out and could slowly rotate it.  They told me I had to go another 3 weeks with no lifting, pulling, pushing any kind of weight.  I was really hoping that they would tell me that I could start doing some weight with the arm.  I have to admit that I already am lifting some things…but you can rest assured that my arm tells me when it is too much.  I’m just glad that I can eat again with my right hand!  So many things that we take for granted!

Izzy seems to be doing much better.  I can tell that she has put a little weight back on and her eyes are looking better.  Miracles do happen!

  • The past couple of days Izzy has begun to eat again.  We started her out with turkey.  The vet that I spoke with said to feed her whatever enticing food we could just to get her to eat.  It looks like she has put on a little bit of weight since Sunday.  Her gait is still a little wobbly and her eyes don’t look good at all.
  • My sweet precious kitty, Izzy, has been losing weight for several weeks now.  The past week she has not been eating or drinking very much.  She is almost 13 years old.  We adopted her in August 1995.  She was so tiny that she fit in the palm of my hand.  She is the most precious little baby.  I don’t think she is going to be with us much longer.

  • Well it’s been awhile.  I fell at school and fractured my right arm on Wednesday, February 27th.  They decided not to put me in a cast because I wouldn’t get my range of motion back in my elbow.  So I wear a sling to work and to sleep in and I am supposed to work on straightening out my arm and trying to rotate it.  No weight for a couple of weeks.  I go back to the orthopedist on March 21st and we’ll see what he says then.  For now, I am just thankful that I can use my fingers and wrist.  Everything takes a little longer than usual, but I am making it!
