  • Well it’s been awhile.  I fell at school and fractured my right arm on Wednesday, February 27th.  They decided not to put me in a cast because I wouldn’t get my range of motion back in my elbow.  So I wear a sling to work and to sleep in and I am supposed to work on straightening out my arm and trying to rotate it.  No weight for a couple of weeks.  I go back to the orthopedist on March 21st and we’ll see what he says then.  For now, I am just thankful that I can use my fingers and wrist.  Everything takes a little longer than usual, but I am making it!

  • I’m changing my password…someone posted a comment to my last entry as me and it wasn’t me that did it.  That’s a little scary…
  • The Good Ol’ Days

A friend from high school found some old pictures from when we went to the beach back in the early ’70s.  I was a junior in high school.  Can you find me???  (Of course, this would have to be people that know me!!)

  • This is the week that our choir has been working towards all year.  We leave Thursday for TMEA in San Antonio and our choir performs on Friday at 12:35 pm.

Please pray for a safe trip and that our young singers will stay healthy and well and will sing their best EVER!

  • Just call me “Grace”

I almost fell flat on my face in first period today.  Was up on the risers and my foot slipped off as I was coming down.  I worked so hard not to end up face down that I really hurt myself.  My back, legs, and the top of my right foot are killing me!

Sad news:  A family at church lost their son today who was only in his early 30s…he had a heart attack at work and died before he got to the hospital.  Prayers going up for the Sinquefield family.  He worked at the Walmart on Sawdust Rd.  I would see him there every time I went there.

  • Busy, busy week ahead.  TMEA is getting closer by the second and I am getting so nervous.  We have our pre-TMEA concert on Tuesday night, February 5th at 7 pm at the Woodlands United Methodist Church.  If you aren’t busy, come and hear our choir.  They are awesome.  I am only directing two songs, but I am so nervous!

Jay told us last week that he has decided Music Education is not what he wants to do with his life.  He has declared a new major…in Industrial Technology, I think…electronics…not sure…but he is very happy.  We just want him to love what he is doing.

Hope all is going well for everyone…keep in touch.

  • Today…pre-kindergarten class
4 year old boy sitting in my classroom with both shoe laces untied

Me:  Can I tie your shoelaces?  We are going to be playing a game and I wouldn’t want you to trip over your laces.

    Boy: Yes…

I go over and as I’m tying his shoes he says:

Mrs. Lowry, how did Jesus make you?  Because you have such a beautiful voice…

    I melt….

    Wow…

  • Sad day for all Cowboys fans…I’m so sad they lost.  But they really didn’t play like winners today.

That’s ok though…this has been the best season they have had in so many years.  It was so much fun watching them win again.  It was almost like the old days of Tom Landry, Roger Staubach and the gang!  Watch out…we’re going to be great next year!
